Congregational Council Members & Council Highlights
The Congregational Council meets the second Monday of each month. If you have a concern or question, please feel free to contact
a Council member.
The Church Council met on Tuesday, May 14. All council members were present. Here are some highlights of the meeting.
? Holy Communion has been added to the 10:30 service on May 26th due to a baptism that morning.
? A new vacuum sweeper was purchased by SAW for Hope House.
? The Treasurer reports that our expenses are on target, and the use of supply pastors over the summer will help with the budget. He is working with our new Bookkeeper. New credit cards will soon be issued by the bank.
? Staff evaluations have been completed and an exit interview will soon be completed with Pastor Kidd.
? The Tricky Tray has been moved to Sunday, September 8thóRally Day and Godís Work, Our Hands.
? We are seeking a new coordinator for Vacation Bible School.
? Property Team reports that approximately 30 hours of combined work went into Spring Clean-Up Day. The Sanctuary roof has been repaired and a window was replaced in the Nursery School.
? Nursery School: There was discussion regarding unsafe drivers in parking lot during school hours. Graduation will be held May 20 and 21 with opening remarks by Council Members.
? With One Voice, Setting Four, will be used for worship during the summer months.
? The handbells will be refurbished at a cost of approx. $1300.
? Quilt disbursement to our graduates will be moved to June 16th.
? Council will meet with the Call Committee on May 19th.
